గీతాంజలి

Pluck this little flower and take it. Delay not! I fear lest it droop and drop it into the dust. 

It may not find a place in thy garland, but honour it with a touch of pain from thy hand and pluck it. I fear lest the day end before I am aware, and the time of offering go by.

Though it’s colour be not deep and it smell be faint, use this flower in thy service and pluck it while there is time

ఈ చిన్న పూవ్వుని కోసి తీసుకో. తాత్యారం చేయకు! ఇది కృశించి ధూళిలో ఎక్కడ పడి నశించి పోతుందోనని నా భయం.

ఈ పువ్వుకు నీ మాలలో స్థానం లేకపోవచ్చు, కానీ నీ చేతి బాధాసర్పతో దీన్ని కోసి ఆదరించు. నాకు తెలియకుండానే పగలు గడిచిపోతుందేమో, దీన్ని నివేదన అర్పించకుండా సమయం దాటిపోతుందేమోనని నా భయం. 

ఈ పువ్వుకు రంగు లేకపోయినా, పరిమళం తక్కువయినా, నీ సేవకి వినియోగించుకో, పూజ సమయం దాటకుండా దీన్ని కోసుకో. గీతాంజలి – శ్రీ రవీంద్రనాథ్ ఠాగూర్
